NEW Cozy Loft Retreat for Two

Kenneth & co. were excellent hosts! The unit was clean, homey, and featured great decor. Our only gripe would be the audible conversations coming from other units, in the building. Nevertheless we will be back, next time we’re in Benton Harbor/St. Joseph!

I was comfortable and felt right at home. It's a nice duck off spot for me when I come to visit the area again. Only thing that was wrong it would be people in the hallway talking for hours on the phone and I could hear their conversation or than that it was great and I would most definitely book again...

I'm not downgrading the rating for this, but I want to mention the noise situation. The Guest Instructions in the unit have multiple warnings about noise levels and being considerate of other tenants. Just as I finished reading this, the upstairs resident came in wearing their Upstairs Neighbor Starter Pack concrete shoes. The timing was quite hilarious. Later they opened their Upstairs Neighbor extension pack which sounded like an indoor bowling game. The unit has a great urban loft vibe; loved the way the artwork is arranged so Roger is eyeing the girls on the wall ;-)

Kenneth's place was really nice. We loved the exposed brick and all of the old school touches. Clean and cozy, everything practically brand new. It was centrally located and the private parking was a real perk. Would highly recommend!

Amazing spot in a nice harbor town. Stayed here for a week and felt like I was in my own little world in this (basically) brand new construction loft. It was extremely peaceful and walking distance to any basic needs throughout my stay. Would stay again and recommend to anyone that has this spot in their top list.

I had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay at this airbnb. The hosts were very responsive and the check-in process was quick. The airbnb was comfortable and the hosts thought of everything to make this stay perfect. I loved the location -- in the heart of the arts district and walking distance to some great restaurants/breweries (Mason Jar Cafe, The Livery). I have never stayed in Benton Harbor and was impressed by the renovation of the historic Sheffield building and the downtown buildings. Benton Harbor has seen some tough times. There is so much history in this town. The Sheffield building is one block away from the Vincent Place (formerly the Vincent Hotel). Al Capone and his entourage were frequent guests at the Vincent (renting the entire 8th floor). The historic theaters, murals and Mohammed Ali sculptures all over the downtown area add to the great vibe. I felt completely safe while staying here and enjoyed the friendliness of the locals. I will be back!

This is an excellent spot to stay for a single person or a couple looking to be near Benton Harbor’s downtown. Walkable to everything in the area. Even the beach is a jog away. Houndstooth below was fantastic and ended up eating dinner there two nights in a row. The unit was easy to access, host extremely responsive. Everything was well-equipped, squeaky clean, and welcoming. The only drawback with this space is that there is essentially no noise barrier between the units; you will hear the unit above. But, that was not overwhelming and wasn’t a deal breaker. The great far exceeds any drawbacks. As evidence, I extended my stay while I was there and would stay again.

This place was beautifully decorated and accurately depicted by the pictures and description. It was easy to find and loved having the private parking out back. The bed was a bit too firm and some nights we did hear the other tenants walking through the hall and heard some loud doors. I would still recommend this place as it was a hidden gem and allowed you to walk, bike ride or drive to lots of local attractions and restaurants!

Kenneth's place in Benton Harbor was amazing. My girlfriend and I were ecstatic to stay here for the weekend celebrating our 1 year anniversary. His place was the perfect amount of space for 2 guests, had a rustic/vintage decor, and was very cozy. Kenneth was always on top of communication, messaging throughout the day, and seeing if I needed anything. The only downside I could find with this weened was the neighborhood. I knew that we were not staying in Benton Harbor during our stay, but were surprised that every other building or more were abandoned. Kenneth explained that this was due to growing pains, which is totally understandable. He recommended amazing spots around the area, and the restaurant under the loft was super fun and unique. You will not find another dining experience like that in the area. Overall, Kenneth was a great host and we are so grateful that he allowed us to stay in his cozy loft for our celebratory weekend!

We loved staying at Ken’s place! It was well stocked, super clean, and uniquely decorated. It’s in a great spot of town that’s easy to get to many of the local attractions, as well as having a few great restaurants within walking distance. And Ken was an awesome host, so accommodating and quick to respond. Wish we could have stayed longer!

My wife and I wanted a pre-Fourth-of-July getaway from Chicago, and this did the trick. New, clean, well designed and thoughtfully appointed place in a quiet spot. We spent some lovely time relaxing on the balcony! Also, Houndstooth restaurant, located directly below (you could enter without even going outside), was a gem of a place. Even though there is a very popular restaurant below, the only sounds we could hear were of the patrons and music while we sat on the balcony that is over their covered, patio seating. Not at all bothersome. And you could not hear anything while inside the loft. We would happily stay here again!

The Loft was a wonderful location to stay at that was conveniently situated near all of the hot spots that we wanted to check out during our stay. It was the perfect amount of space for us to relax and feel comfortable without feeling like we were on top of each other. We loved this Airbnb. Great location in the heart of Benton Harbor. Great restaurant below loft called Houndstooth. The food was amazing and friendly service. The queen bed was very comfy. Washer and dryer was key right outside the bedroom door. I would highly recommend this place. Ken was very kind and helpful.

WOW! Kenneth's place was so great! Every single minute detail was thought of and the remodel was perfection. Not only was it well designed, decorated great, and super cozy, tt was beyond clean - like it was never touched, that clean! I had an issue with the Keurig and within 15 minutes there was a new one dropped at my door. That's what I call service! Make sure to go to Houndstooth below. It's a mind blowing restaurant. Kenneth and Sage were great. Will definitely be back!

This cozy unit was amazing for a weekend getaway from Chicago! Celebrated my birthday and decided to spend the night in Benton Harbor/St. Joseph, and Kenneth’s place was the perfect spot. Lovely space for 2, and beautifully decorated. All new/modern amenities made our stay even better. And only a 5 minute drive to the beach! The unit shares a small laundry room with the other unit on the floor, which did get a little loud and bright, but nothing we couldn’t handle. Overall a 5/5 experience!
